How does EMOZ protect my file ownership on the blockchain?

EMOZ allows you to generate a proof of ownership for your digital files by creating a certificate backed by a blockchain transaction. When you use EMOZ:

  1. You select your file (without uploading it).

  2. EMOZ computes a unique SHA-256 fingerprint of your file locally.

  3. You verify your email and fill in your ownership declaration.

  4. After payment, EMOZ writes an encrypted version of your ownership metadata (your name, email hash, declaration) to the blockchain.

  5. You receive a PDF certificate containing:

    • Your file fingerprint.

    • A random salt to decrypt your blockchain data.

    • The blockchain transaction ID as public proof.

The blockchain acts as a permanent and verifiable record of your ownership at a specific moment in time. Even if EMOZ shuts down, you can independently prove your ownership using your certificate and the blockchain record.
